How does it work?

The Science Bit


How we behave is determined by how we think.


By measuring how an individual thinks, we can predict their behaviour.


By working backwards from desired behaviours, we can map how someone needs to think to attain these behaviours.


 

Let’s say you need a nurse, one who will be caring towards those under her care, whilst still looking after themselves so they don’t burn out.


We will can work with you to map the thinking style of your best performing nurses and tweak that profile based on your assessment of how well they balance caring for self and caring for others.


Candidates can then be measured against this thinking style to determine how well they’ll perform, and looking after themselves while looking after others.

If you are the student welfare officer of a university, we can measure the Thinking Style of students at regular intervals.


Then you can monitor risks to their wellness based on existing research of those risks and any additional things you want to be on the lookout for.

Or perhaps you are a venture capitalist who wants to understand how well the leadership team of tech start-up you’re thinking of investing in.


Based on existing research, we already understand both the key variables involved in start-up success, and we have mapped these to aspects of thinking (Cognitive Intentions).


By profiling the Thinking Style of the leadership we team, we can highlight any inherent leadership risks and areas where the team might need support.

The Technology Bit


The Question Lab™ is Software as a Service. It can operate as a multi-tenant or single-tenant environment depending on your needs and budget.


Once your questionnaire is selected or designed, we upload this to your instance for your use on our secure Question Lab™ cloud server.


Chosen candidates are invited to become users by email, either by us, or by you if you are administering your own tenant.


Authenticated users can then access questionnaires assigned to them in browser, on mobile, or across both since The Question Lab™ is omni-channel allowing users to start a questionnaire on one device and continue it on another.



On completion, the results are sent to candidates and/or other authorised individuals.

The Insights

The outputs from the Question Lab™ questionnaire give you an insight into both the Thinking Style and developmental level of the candidate. From this we can:
